Mid-Size
Uploaded: September 17, 2009
Wanted to give a sense of scale to these wee froggers I've been shooting! This little critter is mid-size, and is sitting between the first knuckles of my pinkie & ring fingers. It must have been comfortable, because I took about 20 shots, and finally had to shake him into the bush nearby!

Thank you for the kind comments, Claudia & Mitch! They're really cool creatures, Mitch. I discovered them quite accidentally, while scouring bushes for dragonflies and such. There are three bushes at a local park that almost always have a handful of these guys, and I end up with at least one on me every time! #7951627

WoW it really is tiny. Awesome macro capture, Tess #7951645Tess L. Yee September 17, 2009 0
Thanks Ann! I've taken dozens of these shots, and found how difficult it is to handhold a frog on the left and a camera on the right, without there being some MAJOR blur! #7951649Maria A. Gonzalez September 17, 2009 0

WOW! What a brilliant hand held macro of this beautiful little frog, Tess! The drought here has certainly reduced the population of our frogs! #7952043Kitty R. Rodehorst-Hanna September 18, 2009 0
