Joan - a very well-worked image here. Lovely colors, good placement of the rock which brings the eye nicely into the image. The water below is such an amazing color.

The only possible suggestion I can think of would be extending this into more of a panoramic-type image if you have enough room in your original image. The reason I am saying this is because if you had more space on the right, the trees wouldn't be so obviously "centered" and the image would appear "grander"and vast. #1222642

Beautiful Joan. Love the lighting on this. The suggestions are right on to make this even more dramatic.

I do see a sot in the sky upper right side you might want to fix up a bit.

The colors here are lovely. I was thinking the same thing as some of the others that the comp. is a bit too center weighted so I'm curious to see what you can do if you should find your original. :~) #8269552

i really like your details but to me, the image looks a little too greenish. it could be just my monitor but I think I would have boosted the reds just a little to balance. very nice as is and i'm curious to see the crop suggestions #8270717

Sorry haven't gotten back to my old computer yet, and today is out. But will repost this hopefully in a couple of days. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. My thought in cropping was actually the rock... rather than the trees. This was taken in Cyprus Prov. Park in Saskatchewan a year ago. The location was on top of the Comglomerate Cliffs (thus the rock). I was trying to feature the rock and the vastness of the prairie below. THe trees were kinda incidental... or perhaps accidental LOL. However, I have to agree, they do rather overpower the composition. #8271231

Joan, this is a lovely image. I agree that the composition looks center weighted. I understand that the tree's were supposed to be incidental . . . but the fact that they are so big and right in the center (blocking the view) they become the main focus. Adding some view to the right would be perfect. :) #8275781

I think you've got enough suggestions and mine would be pretty much the same. Although you might could've solved the problem by just hacking down those really tall trees so you could get your perfect shot. LOL - Just kidding! #8277680

Sorry I'm late. Just returned from our trip and see there are lots of good things happening.

Beautiful image Joan. I'm in agreement with all the suggestions about the composition. But if you don't have the original to expand the shot you can still rescue the comp with a 5x7 horizontal format crop starting in the upper right corner with the left edge ending between the 2nd and 3rd small trees on the left. #8278653
