Flyin At Ya!
Uploaded: April 23, 2007
ISO-100, f/8 Shutter 1/250, 100-300 lens.
Got this shot of one of the hummingbirds this evening. There's something about the way he's facing me that I like.

Another great humingbird photo, Dot. How in the world do you get such sharp photos of moving birds? I like the perspective - it makes the photo unique. #642582Kathy L. Clark April 23, 2007 0
I'd like to know the answer to the above questions as well. This is so wonderful. #4198038

Thanks everyone,To answer the question about sharpness, I delete many blurry, or no bird in the frame photos. But here's basicaly what I am doing, is taking lots of shots. My camera has a sharpness setting which I keep at +2. Whenever possible I try my best to keep the light behind me, and on the bird. Exposure, FStop, and focus are all set to manual. The ISO setting has a lot to do with how sharp the photo will be, so I use 100 as much as possible, but change it to a higher number if I realy need to. I always have the steady shot feature on, not sure it's realy needed when the light is good, but it sure couldn't hurt any.
