I was returning from shooting photos on the inland side of the pass where it is quite cold and happened to see this scene off to the side of the highway. I nailed the brakes, grabbed the camera, and managed to get 4 shots before the lights went out. As the sun dropped behind the mountains, the last rays lit up the ice fog behind these frosted bushes. This photo and one other made for a nice pano which I'll post tomorrow.

Bill; there actually isn't any sky in this scene. The background is just more snow on the shadowy base of the mountain.
