Are they butting heads... or giving each other a hug? :-) Great Shot! #164544

Funny shot, Jean! Great that you were able to get that close to them without getting butted yourself. :-) #164763Jean Papo August 13, 2003
Good morning, and thanks, everyone! Just had to set the record straight as my title is a little misleading...these guys were doing some sort of foreplay ritual, it looked like to me. Not knowing goats, I dunno if these two were a little whacko or this is standard fare. They would jump into the air in slow motion, butt heads like a mock battle, then repeat as if in some sort of love loop...with a few missed attempts at copulation in between. It's almost as though they were "stuntgoat butters" as neither or them ever got hurt, nor was there any knocking sound effects to go with the action. It was hysterically funny to witness, and very endearing too! Glad you like it, guess it should be called "Love Butts" but that doesn't sound right either ;-) #164780Murry Grigsby August 13, 2003
Two heads are better than one, especially in this cute goat image. Nice light, colors and texture, Jean. #164788Jean Papo August 13, 2003
Thanks, Murry! Actually, I'm uploading the original where I thought the background was a little too distracting, so I filled it in PS instead. Any opinions? #164804Murry Grigsby August 13, 2003
Hey Jean I always have opinions. I like the PS'd version best. The original's background is not quite out of focus enough so it does distract from the goats IMO. #164909Dottie Shepherd August 13, 2003
Whatever they were doing this is a Great Capture!!! #165071Shirley L. Carpenter August 13, 2003
Really a great capture Jean!!!!!!!!! #165141Jean Papo August 13, 2003
Wow, thanks everybody! It's so nice to get your feedback. Murry, I agree completely with what you said about the background in the original being too distracting - I can hardly wait until I learn how to do layers in Photoshop so that I can substitute other background scenes I've shot for pix like that one that need a little extra help. In fact, I'm taking a lot of blank sky shots now just for that reason ;-) #165243

Congrats on another finalist, Jean!! #193003Tim Chong September 09, 2003
Sorry I missed this one too! IMO, I would prefer the original if the DOF was more shallow, but the PS version works as well.Congrats, Jean! I was looking for your photos since I know you had to place somewhere. #193390
