I took this last week at the Botanical Gardens with my Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 100-400 mm L lens, with 1.4 X teleconverter attached (total 560 mm), handheld at f8, 1/400 (meant to be higher, but I was shooting manual exposure and didn't change it), ISO 1250. I was pleased that I could hold it that steady and get the shot this well.

Thank you, Bob. Yes, I was very fortunate to get this shot as well as I did. I had the camera drive mode set to high speed continuous, and I think that helped. At least one of the shots was sharp. Whenever I am using the long lens, I use that setting. The 5D Mark III does pretty good at low noise, but I did remove some in Lightroom and I think I used Nik Define as well. <>< #11632985
