Seals Of Truro, MA

Uploaded: June 05, 2011 12:41:37

Description

Shown in this photo are only a fraction of the hundreds of grey seals that use a sandbar near the Truro beach when it is exposed at low tide as their resting place. As the tide rises and the water reaches them, as is the case in this photo, they make their way back into the sea to hunt for food. But when the tide turns and begins to fall, they return to the sandbar for another nap.
