Nice work, Chris - you inspire us."On the floor" because (a) you wanted that perspective, or (b) tripods aren't allowed in the LOC, or maybe (c) both?
It looks like one could spend a lifetime in just a few DC-area buildings. #10024720

The Library doesn't allow tripods without an permit arranged in advance... I had arranged a permit for this visit, and was actually using my tripod at the lowest setting possible, to get close to the floor to pull in the mosaic patterns. #10024747

Already a beautiful fav of mine - it should go much longer than an EP in my opinion!!! Keeping my fingers crossed...(But how can you even think about upgrading the camera so that the 10-22 mm would be impossible to use?!?!) #10024822

This thread just goes on forever. It is a superb image of a magical place. I wish I had gotten down on the ground whe u was there. A moment of embarrassment, maybe, but years of satisfaction of an image well done and so enjoyed by so many people.I am sorry to say that I am unable to go on the Phellos trip to DC next month and was hoping to meet you. Between my husbands two surgeries in this past month, and no more leave-time and my falling off one step last Sunday and breaking two toes and possibly facing surgery, I 'm out for the count. I am so glad I got to see some of your favorite haunts while I there this spring! #10240059
