Lunch Time in the City

--------
All through downtown Philadelphia can be found sidewalk cafes, filled with people enjoying the noontime respite with friends and colleagues.
----------
It was shortly after noon on Locust Street when I came upon these beautifully arranged table settings. The weather was perfect, and a Maitre de was standing just out of the frame awaiting the day's first diner. June 25, 2010 @ 12:30 pm

Michelle, this is a wonderful capture of a superb alfresco scene with repeating theme!! :o) Like Laura I, too, noticed that the closest glasses were upright!! Interesting!! ;o)My bro-in-law, John, mentioned that he'd like to see the sunshine!! Sadly, at the moment, our weather really is rather showery and inclement, but come summer time we'll be glad that we had the rain now!! :o/ #8740362

I've always admiried a "stacked or compressed" effect like this in photos.Excellent subject for that technique.
Your good lighting and effects make the shot even better. #8741436
