Frosty Morn'
Uploaded: March 09, 2010 05:42:23
Here in Coastal Carolina, frost is something of a rarity. I was headed to the park to feed & shoot the fuzzbutts, and noticed a glistening in the early morning light, whenever there was a clearing in the trees. I drove past one clearing. Two. Three. I was late with the walnuts. Four. I turned the car around. A real photographer would have pulled the tripod from the trunk, but not me. I stood on that embankment, leaning forward rather precipitously, until the sun started to melt my subject.

Oh, I can just see you leaning forward, precipitously - I did the same thing during one of our rare snow storms - and fell into a patch of prickly pear cactus! Am still pulling out barbs!! :) Really cool shot, beautiful color - sorta the frozen equivalent of your "Do the Dew" shots! Well done! #8445428Melissa Olsen March 10, 2010

Thank you for leaving such fab comments Valarie, Melissa, and Patricia!Ouch, Valarie. No danger of cacti stickings where I was shooting, but there were some thorny vines (some of which I grabbed in an effort to get a shot of a pretty red leaf). #8445897
