With the charred ruins of the warehouse that burned last week in a conflagration that took the lives of two Philadelphia firefighters, Jeff Carpineta, President of the East Kensington Neighbors Association introduces Jesse Gardner, an artist and former volunteer firefighter (in NYC) who now owns a small gallery devoted to portraits of "unsung heroes" (firefighters) just one block from this site.

Their stage was a flatbed trailer.

The one firefighter's viewing was near where I live (Givinish Funeral Home) on Academy Road. Both men lived in the Far Northeast...so sad.
There will me many investigations resulting from this tragic fire, Michelle. I understand the company that owned the warehouse is based in New York and has retained an attorney...not surprised.
Philly has too many abandoned buildings (fire-traps). That warehouse was cited several times.
A very moving image you have captured, My Friend! #10097617
