In my opinion, this picture was taken somewhere in Italy. But for sure is not Ponte Vecchio in Venice; I was there recently and this is not the famous bridge. But the colours of the light and the facades, as well as the bricks of the bridge tells me that is a southern country, probably Italy. #120503

I figured it was Ponte Vecchio because the file name came up when I moved my mouse over the picture on the online newsletter :) "pontevecchioandboat". I would have truly guessed Venice, Italy. #120663

Gosh, there's no pulling the wool over your collective eyes! Ponte Vecchio is correct, in Florence, Italy. It's such a great bridge, and the afternoon light that day was wonderful! The guy on the boat just added that wonderful human element to the scene, something to make it more than just a scenic. Hope you all enjoyed the image! Brenda Tharp #123594

Are you sure it's Ponte Vecchio? #124432

Brenda Tharp May 26, 2019

Yes, Peter, I am sure it's Ponte Vecchio. The bridge has shops the line both sides of it all the way across, the only one of its kind in Florence. Brenda #124512
