Red Wish

I went to the National Arboretum to check on the blooming status of the azaleas (which are, simply, staggering)... by the time I arrived (on a very wet dreary day) it had suddenly turned gorgeous & sunny. Foolishly, I didn't have my camera, anticipating a day of rain. After enjoying the weather & just walking around for a few hours, I took home this dandelion, determined to photograph SOMETHING that day!

Look at it this way, everyone photographs the azaleas in the natl aboretum, but how many take dandelions home and create something with such striking colors. #2704984Leanne M.E. Boyd April 29, 2006

Thank you all, Ray, Dennis & Leanne, for commenting! And thanks Dennis, for putting the "lost opportunity" into perspective! ;) Although I will still probably head back there tomorrow--the azaleas are just too magnificent!!Michael S. Swaffar December 29, 2006
