Excellent title for an excellent example of design and color Rita. No suggestions except that you place it on some material and make an Hawaiian shirt for me. I'd wear it proudly. #1257692Rita K. Connell April 11, 2010
thank you so much that is the nicest comment anyone has ever given me on one of my picture. Its one thing to hang it on the wall but to wear it thats the best. #8527123Aimee C. Eisaman April 11, 2010
Dale is right...it would make a beautiful Hawaiian shirt! I'd buy it for my husband!! I really like the composition on this one....very nicely framed! The colors are pretty too! My only concern would be that the contrast is really strong on that one left hand petal, but not in the rest of the shot and it pulls attention. If you use layers you could increase contrast for the other parts of the image and erase it off that area to even it out. This would also give the shot a bit of POP overall. :~) #8527160Aimee C. I don't know...I'm looking at it again and I like how the rest of the images looks...it's just that one area. Maybe do the same thing (use layers), but decrease the contrast and then blend.... #8527188Jeff E Jensen April 12, 2010
Very cool image Rita! I see what Aimee is saying, but it isn't bothering me. Of course, I'd be interested to see the results if you decide to work on it.Hey Dale, maybe Bean could crochet you a shirt. . . . #8528016

I like that idea Jeff my design her doing the actual work she is alot younger than I....LOLI am hoping I picked the right left sometimes I get confused if its the left hand side of the flower or the left hand side of the picture. so I went with the left hand side of the picture to the petal with the bold red.
I used the dodge tool on it to tone it down some tell me what you think #8528071

Rita these shirts are supposed to be loud! I like the shot and I am not seeing the issue that Aimee is talking about and I am missing the change on the fixed post too. Guess it is time for new glasses.Seriously I like the shot and its bold look and colors. #8528582

I'm just talking about the blown out whites on the left hand petal (left hand on photo). I didn't really see much difference in the fixed image, but since it doesn't bother you or the others maybe just let it go. It's really not a deal breaker for me either. :~) #8528697Anthony L. Mancuso April 12, 2010
I like the shot as it stands also Rita, the white parts dont seem to bother me at all... #8529705Rita K. Connell April 12, 2010
thanks so much I really like the original I thought it was so beautiful the way it was falling open and the design it was making. I'll enter it tonight we'll see what happens. #8529893Laurence Saliba April 12, 2010
Its a perfect full frame Rita! #8530199Kathleen Nealon April 13, 2010
Rita, this is a beautiful image and I'm excited to see how it is received.I had one suggestion and that was to replace some or all of the green in the lower left with the colors of the petals.
Others suggest crops, flips and straightenings; my eyes latch onto backgrounds.
Perhaps I should see a phototherapist to discover if my background obsession results from a childhood fear of the pink tufted wallpaper (think: casket lining) in my parent's bedroom. #8531198

It is a beautiful, bold design Rita! Well done:) #8532204Christie R. Bielss April 13, 2010
So bright and cheerful! Would most definitely make a great Hawaiian shirt! This also reminds me of pinwheels that spin in the breeze. Very nice. #8532243Rita K. Connell April 13, 2010
Thank you so much Laurence, Kathe I think I am going to leave it as is. I am not the best at making things like that happen yet. Susan and Christie thanks so much Christie when I first saw this flower that was my thoughts exactly a pinwheels. it is always fun to get pictures of things with such bold beautiful colors. #8532307Joan E. Hoffman April 13, 2010
Rita... beautiful image.... I can see what Kathe means about the green, however, my parents did not have pink tufted wallpaper, so not as important to me :)))) #8532826Ellen H. Robertson April 13, 2010
Rita wonderful colors and design. Would be beautiful on an Hawaiian shirt or on a canvas. #8533112Rita K. Connell April 14, 2010
thanks Joan and Ellen I think a dress or skirt would be great.... #8534727Peter W. Marks April 14, 2010
Rita, living in the wrong country as I was at the time, I never made it to Woodstock so have never been a 'flower child' so usually have nothing much to say about flower images. But this is a beautiful image and going one better than our friend Dale I would be happy to have this printed on my shorts.:0)Nice work girl. Pete #8534782
