If I crick my neck...

Uploaded: April 11, 2010

Description

-----
My new office on the 15th floor of the Graham building in Center City Philadelphia overlooks an alley way, and my window looks very intimately into an office across the way.
---------
BUT...if I press my left cheek hard against the window, and crick my neck till it hurts, I get THIS view of a portion of the magnificent City Hall building on 15th Street.
--------
With close to 700 rooms, City Hall is the largest municipal building in the United States and one of the largest in the World. It is the world's second-tallest masonry building, less than a half meter shorter than Mole Antonelliana in Turin, Italy. The weight of the building is borne by granite and brick walls up to 22 feet (6.7 m) thick, rather than steel.
--------
No doubt I will post more of this gorgeous building in the near future.
------
Shot with my little Canon G9, in automatic mode and lots of work done to deal with alley darkness and shadow.
