Description

Craig's hut in the Victorian high country of Australia. This hut looks like it might have been there forever but in fact it was built as a set for the 1982 movie "The Man from Snowy River". The hut was destroyed by bush fire in 2006 and rebuilt soon after so the structure you see here is less than five years old! There are many authentic huts dotted throughout the high country of southeastern Australia but sadly many have been destroyed by bush fires in recent years. The huts were built by cattle drovers who spent the summer months with their cattle on the high pastures.
