Sleepy Hippo, Wildlife Safari-Oregon

Description

Wildlife Safari, Oregon

I think everybody was taking naps. Even this hippo was not going to let anything disturb his nap time, not even those water skiers in his pond....
400% enlargement and crop

I have a many more animal photos from Wildlife Safari but I'll stop for now.

Why stop now, Denny. I love animals. This is a great series. Great capture of this big hippo. What better thing to do in the afternoon but a nap. Well done. #1256517

Keep them Coming As long as you have them...

Don't think I've EVER EVEN IMAGINED a Hippo & Canada Geese in the same shot. Great Capture.

I know that feeling as I had the same attitude last Sunday.....

Happy Shooting

Excellent addition to your series from your safari...well composed with excellent detail and color. Well timed to get the "waterskiers." (What's the old saying? "Let sleeping hippos lie!") #8519698

Gosh I thought I was seeing my reflection in the lap top here! HA!

I just yawned Denny. Not because of your terrific capture. Love those gliding Canadian Geese, too, coming in for a landing! Bet they just flew in from Vancouver, B.C.!?

The geese in the background are such a wonderful added extra, great timing there. I'm with the others, no need to stop, we are all enjoying your animal pictures. I think we all wish we could be there taking them too. #8610355
