Awesome colors and capture. :O) #8456406Bunny Snow March 15, 2010
Thank you Joy and Doc.I have a series of several images leading into the big sigh, and then his expression when it was all over. All that I need now is the time and patience to put them together in a composite somehow on that branch.
It's fun capturing birds. They don't look at their watches, stamp their feet, or complain.;-) #8456785

Nicely captured, Bunny. Grackles can be such pests sometimes that we forget they also have their own shimmering beauty, which you've caught beautifully here. #8463587Bunny Snow March 18, 2010
Thank you for your kind comments, Mitch. The lustrous rainbowlike play of color of the grackles feathers have long fascinated me even though the birds can be mean, predatory, and steal seeds from other birds, even kill other smaller birds. I've learned much while capturing them.Currently, I'm working on a composite of the Sigh from before it occurred to afterwards. It's kind of like having a balloon, blowing it up, and letting the air out, in the way the birds body and expression changes. I thought it funny and yet, fun, at the same time.
For me this is a challenge of major proportion.
Again, I appreciate your comment on my image. Thank you.
