D90 Tamron 18-270@20 mm F10 ISO 200 SS1/400 WB-Sunny PC-Vivid

OK I managed to get into SUNKEN MEADOW SP Yesterday morning even though it was CLOSED.
I'm very Convincing. Only the Plow crews were around. This was taken at the EasT Pavilion Looking WEST. Take note of the Sign if your DESPERATE for a Swim... Only blemish in the snow were assorted animal tracks around the building. Raccoon, Fox, Squirrel & Rabbit. All probably looking for shelter or food. Drifts were high so my ability to get around was limited.

Exif: F Number: 10, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 10/4000 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 20.00 mm, Model: NIKON D90

Michelle
Spent summers in Souther Virginia as a kid most of that time was in the woods looking for animals of ANY TYPE. Scarry some of the things I brought home with me...
So no would not kid you about that. Besides they are all very easy to distinguish in wet compacted snow or wet earth....

I find this just so unique, Jack!! What an excellent capture!! We have over 7000 beaches in Australia, but not one of them would ever have a scene like this!! Obviously the latitude makes the difference. Hope you have a great time on that cruise you are booked for...we are heading to Sydney tomorrow (Wednesday) and ours sails Thursday. Bon Voyage!!!

Wonderful image, Jack. I appreciate those two trash receptacles there as it gives us a better sense of scale for the snow drift.

Very well done. Enjoyed the read, too.

Your beach scene photos are all impressive. This one in particular, is remarkable to me. I never see snow and beach together in my neck of the woods. The deep blue sky makes a wonderful contrast to the pure white ground. Beautiful work Jack!! #10180947
