Excellent Jeff. You got a much better POV on this guy than I did. Lovely detail. #1238480Susan M. Reynolds February 14, 2010
I'll agree...up close and personal with excellent detail. Nicely done :) #8380578Jeff E Jensen February 14, 2010
Thanks you Dale and Susan! #8380699Anthony L. Mancuso February 14, 2010
Great comp and detail here Jeff..think it could use a levels adjust to punch it up a bit, there is also a bit of schmutz at the tip of his beak you might consider cloning out...oh wait, then you would have to change the title.. #8380977Joan E. Hoffman February 14, 2010
I really think is excellent. Wonderful clarity and detail! I like the schmutz myself, but didn't think these guys were carnivorous! LOL #8381093Rita K. Connell February 14, 2010
love it love it.... POV is great very nice done wouldn't change a thing. #8381182Kathleen Nealon February 14, 2010
WOW. This image could make a bird lover out of me. Your detail is fabulous and his colors are stunning. Don't know about punching it up (certainly would not punch up the background); but I'm sure we'll all have opinions if you upload a version like that. #8381835Ellen H. Robertson February 14, 2010
Great detail, excellent shot.Jeff E Jensen February 14, 2010
Here's version #2. I did a slight levels adjustment and then a bit of work with the shadows/highlights tool. I also re-worked the crop.Thoughts? #8382172

Did you do something with the WB as well Jeff, I think the white feathers have a warmer tone to them now, but I think the cooler look of the 1st post looked better against the blue feathers. I also prefer the 1st crop because the 2nd crop places the eye dead center and I think it was better suited in the original ROT position. #8382388Jeff E Jensen February 14, 2010
Yeah, after posting it, and going back and looking at it, I'm not as fond of it as the first one. #8382398Michael Kelly February 14, 2010
Yes the first post is a beauty. The comp and detail are excellent and I like the color as presented. I am with Rita on this one - would not change a thing. #8382504Jeff E Jensen February 14, 2010
