Remembering

T+73 seconds into flight and at 48,000 feet..... Many of us remember exactly where we were when the Space Shuttle Challeger disaster occured on this day 24 years ago.
I took this image at daybreak while on the taxiway leading to Runway 22L at Edwards AFB California. This was about 10 weeks prior to the launch when we lost her. Challenger had just returned from Space-Flight and was mounted piggyback on top of a NASA/Boeing 747 on her way back to the Cape in Florida. Little did I know at that time that I would be capturing a tiny piece of history!
Negative scanned and processed with PSE7 and NIK Silver Efex. (CA)
