Photo taken at our local zoo in Alexandra, LA of a pair of white Pelicans I decided to replace the background with a black background to make them stand out more. Taken with Olympus E520, aperture priority, exposure 1/400 second at f/4.1 with -1/3 stop exposure bias, Olympus 70-300mm set at 89mm ISO 400, late morning light, tripod mounted.
Exif: F Number: 4.1, Exposure Bias Value: -0.30, ExposureTime: 1/400 seconds, Flash: did not fire, auto mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 89.00 mm, Model: E-520

G'day KEN!What struck me first when I viewed this magnificent pelican photograph was the alignment and attitudes of the two birds. Very dramatic and so clear against your black background.
The lighting is great, your exposure of the white plumage is extremely good, the image has good depth and is nice and sharp and when combined with your processing this has all rendered a rather stunning study.
