Description

The intense cold snap has kept me indoors looking for photo subjects, as I adjust to my new camera.
So some of my favorite pieces of glass are being pressed into service...
Here, the stem of a Venetian-style goblet, blown by Michael Schunke of Nine Iron Studios.

Looks like you're adjusting just fine, Chris! Beautiful close-up work and I love the lighting. Really highlights this work of art quite well. Nicely done, my friend! #8289885

Many thanks, folks! it was a lot of fun setting up a "black box" shooting booth (though it doesn't look very black in this image!) to help create dark reflections on the glass. And it gave me a reason to pull out some of my old favorite pieces from the cabinet... #8291350

Thanks, Nikki; though now I think I want to find a backing that is a little closer to jet-black, after our last chat! #8293961
