Fallen Sky

Description

This Lake Huron photo was snapped last winter after the wind had driven various sheets of ice to the shore and there they pushed, folded and slid one on top of the other. I could hear them grinding and it was fascinating. It looked like the sky had fallen.

I, too, would have loved to witness this - can just imagine the sound of the ice slabs grinding and pushing against one another - would be worth the bitter cold, for sure!! Amazing, fascinating capture, Nancy - captured beautifully and dramatically! #8253310

Isn't mother nature beautiful, and you captured it well here. And to be there hearing her groan and moan is priceless in my book. #8253393
