Uploaded: June 11, 2005

Description

aperture - f5.6, shutter 1/8, lens - 50mm, location- Maui

At first you don't move. Then you realized you aren't breathing. A cold chill runs across your spine. Your rationalize that black tips aren't agressive - right?!? Or is it the other way around? Just checking me out huh?

Thank you Nancy, Laura, Claudia, and Jessica. My trusty Nikon D-100 On another note...I've run into a bull head sharks twice while diving in the Keys, both tiger and thresher sharks in Hawaii. Broke my nose and started bleeding profusely on the big island of Hawaii while surfing and was followed into shore by a tiger shark. - NOT GOOD I frequently see nurse sharks and dogfish sharks off of Catalina Island. Bottom line is that I get the same feeling when I see a shark in the wild as I do seeing them in an aquarium as the one above. I don't have an underwater housing for my camera and have tried several times to capture sharks swimming with the throw away types. I have never been able to get close enough with those types of camera, nor do I really try to. I did try to take the picture of a 15 Bullhead shark in Florida, but it came out very blurry and dark. Didn't mean to trick anyone here, but this was taken safely behind thick glass! #1458261
