This is beautiful work!! :) Love those colorsSherran Andersen December 16, 2009
Very creative... is this filter expensive? #8224259Laura E. Swan December 16, 2009
Hi John, Ann, Nancyj, Tammy and Sherran! This filter was a B-day gift and is a plug in. It is compatible with my PSE7 program and likely all the other big ones too? I dont know!!! I am not sure how much they cost...I think around 45 dollars.
What is really fun about it is that the combinations are endless in the filter itself. So, one thing might look awful but keep using the sliders in different combinations, and you come up with all of these different types of effects.
If you look at this image and then go back in my gallery and see "Flaring Flake" to days back, you can see the vast difference.
I knew I'd love this filter and I will also love Topaz when I get it one day.
Thanks all, very much, and that is very interesting about the cowboy in his "unders"...!!! HA! MY EYES ARE CLOSED.
SEE NIR I M TYING WITH HEN CLOSED.
HA!

Creative transformation of the ornament Laura. The shape of the snow flake is clearly defined but you've added interest with the fract filter.Nice work Laura. #9133659
Susan Weisensel December 30, 2010
This is very cool Laura, can you buy that plug in at Best Buy and do you just load it on your computer if you already have PSE7? #9133665Laura E. Swan December 30, 2010
You know I just LOVE that filter, Irene! It wasn't bought in a store but online for my birthday in 2009. I looked high and low in BEST and other places and always found it online instead. Under 50 dollars. It uploads as a plug in on PSE7. Didn't this one turn out looking like YARN? The Fract filter could have done a thousand different LOOKS with this....PSE7 DDR is hours of fun and discovery if a person has the time. It has always been rewarding. Time well spent! :)))Thanks lots and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!

How I wish I could have/buy that filter, Pom!! In the right hands (yours), the results are marvelous. It's a wonderful example of how the choice of effects can jump a photo from pleasing to superb!Laura E. Swan December 21, 2013
Hi Jo Ann, Mare and Mr. Tree :) - I love the Fractalius Filter lots. It really only seems to work well with certain things.Birds, Cats, Wood, Flowers and objects with sharp feathers.
It looks terrible on people and faces unless they are background crowds and finely tuned. Looks bad on a lot of things actually. HeeHee...
I loved the results of this one, too. Thank you all so much.
!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
Love, Miss Rosey Pom :D
