I took this photo on a cloudy day after an hour or two of light rain. I saw this leaf and decided to hull out the camera gear to get a good photo. I had a chance to use my new tripod which allows me to spread out the legs and get even closer to the ground.

As you can most likely tell, I have done some photoshop work on the image to liven it up. The original image was very flat looking and lacked interest. So after applying some basic Levels, I decided to experiment with some of the filters in the "Nik Colour Efex Pro" software. This is the combination of the "midnight" filter and the "Low key" filter. In between each I used the levels to make some changes. Over all the image has a lot more dimension to it then before, although it may look a little unnatural. Some will probably like this and other not.
