Hi Marie,The Latin name for these flowers is Osteospernum which is not nearly as appealing a name as African Daisy, a nickname I found at one nursery last year. I'm told that they're a relatively new species. I grew them last year and they bloomed profusely all late spring and summer AND they drip beautifully out of pots and windowboxes; a really great find by all flower-loving standards.
