Breakin' Out!

If We Could:
Treat Ourselves With Kindness,
Break The Chains That Bind Us!
It Would Relieve That Stress That Winds Us.
If We Could:
Forgive The Past That Reminds Us,
Pace The Present That Grinds Us
It Would Brighten The Future That Declines Us.
Oh, the Sadnesses That Inclines Us!
ALL OF THIS CONFINES US!
Kindness & Forgiveness Is Your Key...
FOR FRIEND IT TRULY SETS YOU FREE!!!

Hi All! Thank you so, so MUCH for all that each of you have said here. Last night I actually posted in response, or at least I thought that I did, but it didn't stick! My BP program freezes up?It had something to do with and and even
stuff...but I don't know what happened to it....
So, I will just say thank you each one, for all that you said. It was 9 a.m. and freezing out when I shot this image. I had many "runner up's" so I hope this one made the most impact for my message.
I'm so glad you all stopped by!
I might post another one tonight that is similar since I had another one I liked a lot. Maybe BP will like it, too.
Thanks for your appreciation of this one.
-Laura :) !!!

Wooo Laura, your thoughts in conjunction with this wonderful B&W image are mighty heavy. Isn't it a shame we are such an ignorant species? The answers are simple but we are too simple to recognize them. #8130541ROLAN NARMAN November 14, 2009

Yes, it is a shame, Joseph...We are so hard on ourselves sometimes. This young girl I know is trying to get me to go to the SPA with her...get massages and have our toes pampered! It just all sounds like fun that OTHER people get to do...
???!!!BUT WHY NOT ALL OF US TOO!!!???
I might take the leap! STEP ONE!
Appreciate all that each of you said! Thanks for the visit!

Wonderful creative work here Laura! The lighting and dark tones really suit this fine image! Well done, a great presentation! #8133599Tommy E. Burgess November 16, 2009
Outstanding capture with beautiful tones and light Laura!! Interesting tidbit of information there. I'm not a poet but have written and recorded songs inspired by some of my favorite paintings. I wonder if there is a name for that and if not maybe we could make up one? Have a great week! #8134510Laura E. Swan November 16, 2009
Hi John! I'm really thrilled that you guys are liking this one. It was a good learning experience for me setting up a "still life" with drama attached. Careful placement of the objects was really "key" with the lighting and iron (prison) gate. Thanks SO MUCH for your feedback!

Tommy- I'm thinkin' Lyrical Ekphrastics.
What do you think? And then as the total package as the writer and musician, you would be called a:
Lyrical Ekphrastic Artist and Musician.
Ooo! I think we have a winner! Too bad there isn't a way to attach your music here for all to hear! Humm...?
Thanks for the visit!

WOW!!! What an amazing image!!! I totally agree with the comentary, WTG dear friend!! <>< #8511920Denny E. Barnes April 05, 2010
At first I wondered where did my comment go. Is it lost out there somewhere in web land, then I realized I was bouncing back and forth between images and stopped on the first one instead of the third to comment so I'll try again..Laura E. Swan April 05, 2010
Hi Marisol, Nancy and Denny! These three image were made as a set! If I ever do print them out they will hang on the wall as a grouping.
Glad you like them and my poems that have gone along with them as well.
I really appreciate your support of my work and the way I have presented it. My message has gotten across! :)
