Ham or CHEESE!
Uploaded: November 12, 2009
My little man, Nathan! He is either looking away from me yelling "NO!" or straight at me yelling "CHEESE!" when he sees me with the camera these days!! :) This was the ONLY in focus shot of him yesterday...and the only reason I got it was because Mattie was holding him up on the teeter totter!!!! BUT, this is Nathan...he ALWAYS makes us laugh with his different looks and charming ways!!! :):)

This a great keepsake image Bean, I think the treatment works very well with it...I can relate to the issues you have with getting good pics of him, thats for sure! #1204356Teresa H. Hunt November 12, 2009
Oh my gosh, can I ever relate. I have an 8 year old who never gives me a normal face. He's always doing something wierd with his face. I will say though, thanks to his strange faces I got an EP last month. This one is adorable. Definately a keeper. I love the treatment you gave it. :) #8126534

I love love love this capture! Anyone with children can relate to this image and the story that goes along with it. As always the vanilla is wonderful. I wish the background was a bit darker though. Maybe try the old duplicate multiply blend thing that has been so popular lately then erase it off of him. :~) #8126616Susan M. Reynolds November 13, 2009
I'm so loving his expression! I wouldn't change a thing...all I notice is that adorable little face :) #8127458Susan M. Reynolds November 13, 2009
p.s. the reason why I like the lighter BG is because it just makes his adorable face and cute expression just pop out at you :) #8127467Ellen H. Robertson November 13, 2009
How perfect, so natural, I love it. I have tried to shoot children (with a camera:)of course) and know they are hard to capture in focus, but when you do it is priceless. They have no problem expressing their emotions and that is what makes this shot so great. What happens to us adults that we get so stiff in front of a camera??? #8127676

Great capture Jeanine and a good lesson for me. I like the way you filled the frame. He looks like a real handful. #8128690Jodi M. Walsh November 13, 2009
he's adorable! love the little curls in his hair. I love this as is. he is sharp and I just love that expression. great job and maybe you should hire Maddie to work as your assistant for unruly subjects :-) #8129610Joan E. Hoffman November 14, 2009
He is utterably adorable! Love the filter - where did you find it! #8130738Debbra Bailey November 14, 2009
CUTE!!! His haircut is particularly awesome... #8131427Rita K. Connell November 14, 2009
so cute and I can hear him saying cheese, it remind me of the time I had a couple of my grandkids at mcDonald and they were playing on the play tunnel playground they have. and I said Abbey and she yell's CHEESE and she couldn't even see me, I just wanted to know where she was in the tunnel. it gave a few people a good laugh, yhou think I take her picture very much. #8131830Carrie J. Absolutely love this shot! Really for me there is nothing I would change. #8151649Debbie E. Payne November 28, 2009
Very cute. Awesome expression, well-captured and so nice and clear. I, too, like the filter and don't have any ideas for change. #8175085Jeff E Jensen November 29, 2009
Great image Jeanine! I understand the challenge that kids can be. My youngest will sit for a shot, than runs over to take a look at the image. She will not sit still for more than one shot at a time. #8177715Peter W. Marks December 16, 2009
Oh yes Jeanine, and I bet when he brings his first girlfriend home she might just get to see this photo! It's a fun image. #8223273Shari Kelly January 15, 2010
I believe I would say he's a HAM...Love this Jeanine...super sharp...I am with Debbra, I noticed his little haircut too! Such a cutie! Have a great weekend! Shari #8298987Sarah G January 16, 2010
He's so cute!!! This is good. He may not appreciate this pic as a teen, but it shows who he is now. That is what is so great about the image. It's pure him.Kids are not easy to get good pics of. I think the next time I need to photograph a kid I'm going to use a seesaw too. :) #8301811
