Jeff...this is just great! I always love seeing photos of photographers doing their thing! This one offers a neat progression of them each getting a different POV....belly shot....kneeling....standing. The colors they are surrounded by are cool too! I do wish the foreground was a bit brighter, but not on the two guys in the back because they are a nice contrast to the balloon on the side. Not sure how you could do that...maybe a gradual lightening somehow by using layers with different level adjustments and large soft low oppacity erasers? :~) #1187118Michael Kelly October 01, 2009
Fun shot Jeff. I see the same great concept the Aimee did with the levels of photographers and the bright colors of the balloon as both FG and BG. I think it is a fantastic shot! This one is really tough to judge as far as the lighting goes. I might try a levels adjustment to brighten it up a bit and I think a highlight/shadow adjustment of just the shadows at about 15 might bring up the darker FG a bit. Without playing with it myself I just am not sure of the settings so play a bit and see if it works. #8001785

Thanks Aimee and Mike! This is one of my recent favorites. Like you said Aimee, the progression of their shots makes it pretty interesting. Thanks for the suggestions. Using a layer, I adjusted the shadow, I think I ended up around 18-20 on the setting. Then erased over the background and the two guys in the back. I flattened the image, then did a levels adjustment. I also did a 5x7 crop to remove a bit of the foreground. I like the changes, I am curious to hear what everyone else thinks. #8002591

This is a cool shot, Jeff! I like what you've done with it. I am picking up some noise on my monitor, but no one else has said anything, so maybe it's just my monitor. Are these friends of yours? #8002709Jeff E Jensen October 02, 2009
Thanks Christie! You are right, there is a bit of noise. I played with it a bit, but I'm not getting very far with it.These are my photo buddies. Steve in the back, Shawn in the middle, and Dave in front. #8002768

I like the changes Jeff. You opened the FG enough to give you nice color and the whole shot has a better tone also. The crop works well. I don't notice the noise as being excessive. #8002859Sharon October 02, 2009
Excellent shot!! Looks like a fun time!! #8003033Dale Hardin October 02, 2009

I think you did an awesome job on the adjustments and I do like your new crop. The noise in this image is very minimal to me and doesn't pose an issue. A really cool shot in my book! :~) #8003734Debbie E. Payne February 23, 2010
