Description

The windmills were the star of this image. Explored various positions with the intent of creating a perspective view point using the windmill, ground and clouds. Used multiple exposure to give the feeling of the spinning blades on the windmill. Composed the image using the road to lead the viewer through the image. The image was taken at 5:45 P.M. Used Blue & Gold Filter to bring out the colors. Used Capture NX2 to bring the white out of the clouds, windmill,and road. Used a focal length of 55mm, f/16, 1/25s, multiple exposure set to 3 shots.

Exif: F Number: 16, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 4/100 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 400, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 55.00 mm, Model: NIKON D300

Terrific wind turbine capture, Elvin! Love the use of multiple exposures to show the spinning blades. Gorgeous sky and light as well. I live in a large wind turbine state and find them endlessly fascinating myself. CONGRATULATIONS on this outstanding Finalist, and good luck in the next round! #1327561

Thank you for your wonderful comment. I tried various amount of multiple shots and found 3 shots were better balanced when captured in the camera. #9039815
