The Cowversation

OK...so yesterday was not to be the last Fair entry after all!
--------
Shot in the cow barn at the Middletown Grange Fair, in Wrightstown, PA. August 14.
----------
Did about a ton of cloning out of extraneous objects--buckets, rags, feed bowl, water bowl, etc. Then applied a heavy dose of LucisArt (Exposure) to create the sort of cartoon sketch effect.
--------
Shot raw, no flash, manual settings. ISO:400, f4.5, 1/250s, 50mm.
--------
Too crude for DD category. Let's make it a Catch All.
------
Exif: F Number: 4.5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/250 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 58.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D

This is great! Wonderful, Michelle! It reminds me of some old favorites (books) by James Harriet; one was "All Creatures Great and Small" but there were others in the series - all about a country vet in Yorkshire, England in the 1930's, I believe. Farmers had great affection for their cows and all of them had names. They were almost pets. Probably true today as well, at least among the smaller dairy farmers! Outstanding treatment here, as well! #7900578Kaye Burazin August 30, 2009
