Thank you so much Susan. What I was really doing with this image was showing off that I knew the name of another flower other than a rose or a daffodil!
On a more serious note, I do not get much satisfaction from shooting flowers. They are fine as an exercise in messing around with different apertures etc and they provide an easy subject for basic Photoshop work but be beyond that-not so much. When I look through folk's galleries of flower after flower after flower, I can admire the crispness and exposure control of their work but find myself wondering if they ever take their cameras beyond their yards. Each of us to our own of course!
