This is so sweet of you! I love your choice of the title too! I've seen the movie directed by Robert Redford which displays the visual splendor of the Rocky Mountains of Montana which is similar to what you've displayed here!Laura E. Swan August 24, 2009
Very tickled this morning so see you all here! Thanks Yulianto, Carolyn, Tammy, Jeff and Ray for all you said! :)And Rolan you are very very welcome. I might post the original tonight so you can see it both ways since it's all yours.
All it lacked were fly fishermen but it's pretty deep and swift out there so I guess that's a good thing! HA!
Thanks for your wonderful critique of it as well. I was hoping you'd like it!

Who could not love this! Very creative and beautiful effect, Laura and so well done!! I'll bring my fly pole and you supply the pop corn and bears..LOL... #7885193Laura E. Swan August 24, 2009
Denny, we use popcorn up here for BAIT.We only use beer to make fish batter, and fishing poles, (and line), to hang out the laundry with.
Still want to come up!? You'll still have beer and fish on your breath and your clothes will be "daisy fresh"! HA!
Thanks for your kind assessments and the fun remarks!

Thank you Barbara, Steve and Mr. Tree! :)This is a re-submit but I always liked it a lot. Seems perfect timing for Rolan, too! :)
This image was interesting to make. I did it in curves mainly!!! Did a lot to it to get this effect. Saving it and going back in again. Many tweaks.
The end result reminds me of the TOPAZ filter, which I really like!
Appreciate your visiting! :)

ROLAN NARMAN August 11, 2012
Hi All. This is Eileen, Rolan's wife. First off, please accept my apology for not responding sooner. Rolan's death was not expected if you can believe that for stage IV cancer. Basically the treatment options ran out. Rolan was told he had a few months. Those few months dwindled to a week when his kidney failed. He opted to turn down dialysis. He honestly believed he wasn't dying. Even though he was in denial of the severity of his condition, he did come to accept the reality. I was with him every minute of that last week. We witnessed a couple of spiritual events. Rolan had a near death experience that I witnessed. When he told the doctors, they confirmed he temporarily died. When we moved Rolan to hospice, he asked for help to stand up. He stood, looking at a cross and said "Jesus, I am coming. I am coming home." I believe in one being able to see spirits as they are dying. If you don't you may think it is a hallucination. I know it wasn't because immediately after Rolan turned to me, hugged me, kissed me and told me he loved me. There were a couple more events as well. It was amazing to witness such spirituality. I am blessed I was able to be with Rolan at the end and share such happenings. It is what helps me hold it together now. Since Rolan passed, I have been busy tending to his business as well as mine, our two children, and his daughter (my stepdaughter) Marissa. It has been very tough. Rolan was my husband, friend, business partner, and father of our children. I told Rolan to tell God that I request Rolan to be our angel. I asked him to promise me he would watch over the children. I made him promise me I would never feel alone like he left. I said I needed that as the position I have been put in is a most difficult one. Josef is 6, Gina is just about 3 and Marissa is 19. I don't know if Rolan shared that Josef has autism. I told Rolan, "You will be able to do things you couldn't do on earth. Please do something for Josef." Josef has made such amazing progress in recent months. It is a miracle. Josef has also inherited Rolan’s love for music. He tries to play every instrument. In honor of Rolan’s memory and love of music, I will make sure Josef pursues his musical talent. The children are doing ok. It is a big adjustment for them. They are disappointed. We all are. We appreciate your memorial site. The BP community has shown such support and compassion. We are touched by it and will always remember your kindness. I think it was Kerry Drager who sent a copy of the book in which two of Rolan's photos were published. That was such a lovely surprise and brought peace to us. Thank you to all of you for easing our pain. Rolan was a man of many talents and gifts. I will make a collection book and video one day to give to the children. I cherish all of his artwork, photos and the three greatest gifts he gave this world: Josef, Gina and Marissa.
