Love these kind of shots. Love the detail on this one. How did you do this I don't see you and you were able to get very thing in focus. good job #7902223

Aimee C. Eisaman August 31, 2009

What did you hit with your mirror? LOL! I think this would have been stronger without the little head poking out, but it really is a neat idea and the views are beautiful! :~) #7902961

Jeanine M. Bailey August 31, 2009

This is really cool Jeff!! I like it as is...the little head doesn't bother me, didn't even notice it at first, now that I see it I think it lends to a true roadtrip pic!!! :) #7903488

It is a very cool idea. Going for just landscape, yes, the head is a distraction, but as Jeanine stated, it adds to the photo as a true roadtrip memory photo! #7903762

Very cool Jeff - I never seem to be able to come up with these really interesting approaches to a shot. You did a fantastic job on this one.

Is it as taken? What f stop were you at to get such a great DOF if it was? #7905178

Jeff E Jensen August 31, 2009

Thanks all!

Vicki - car, what car :o)

Rita - I was in the driver's seat, it was a bit tricky keeping myself out of the shot.

Aimee - Didn't hit anything with the mirror, went out to go to work one morning this winter and they both cracked when I turned on the defroster.

Jeanine and Susan - I just couldn't get that head to stay in the car long enough to take the picture, so I guess she going to have to stay.

Michael - The only thing is did to this was crop, and clone out a car in the bigger mirror. This is at f/8.0.

I will post the original, untouched version.

I've tried these kinds of shots before but not nearly with as much success as you have here. Unique and quirky makes for an image that grabs your attention. #7907144

Thanks Tony and Debbie!

For the record, the car was not moving when I took this shot. In Zion National Park, there is a narrow tunnel that they only let one direction of traffic go through at a time. We were waiting our turn. #7908131
