Not really. Avila Beach is the one that was just reopened after being cleaned up by I think Union Oil. They actually tore up the whole front part of the town and so now it's all new and not quaint like it used to be. Pismo Beach was more picturesque. #2623

Took me over 3 years, but I found this spot yesterday. I was looking in the wrong place. This is just north of Grover Beach. Just outside of Pismo... Here's the coordinates: N35 08.89 W120 39.36

A beautiful location for photographers.

California Coastal Project Data... Best to get here a low tide and near sunset.
