Mono Motion
Uploaded: August 13, 2009
I was shooting up at Tuolumne Meadows in the afternoon and noticed all the storm clouds building up over the Mono Basin. 25 minutes later I was standing in pool of water(no I did not pee myself) just behind the camera here.
1 second exposure for the amount of blur I was looking for. That wouldn't be the correct amount of blur for every shot, it always varies. I've posted one similar before with a very wide angle so if you remember one similar it was me. That version had more intense color to it and this was taken while the light was softer so the color here is more subtle.
*On a side note. I will be a featured artists in a show at the new Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village, California(45 min west of Downtown Los Angeles). The show will begin October 16th and run until January 16th. More details to come.

This is not only absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous, Steve, it is also the most unique shot of Mono Lake I've ever seen. Congratulations on this shot, and on your upcoming gig at Westlake Village. I interviewed at a large company there a couple of years ago. What a magnificent place. Wish I could come and see your show! #1167836Jeff Robinson August 13, 2009
