Watersprite
Description: 24-70 mm Nikon at 48; ISO 200; S1/1600; f.3.2, handheld. I shot this earlier in the course figuring there would be a motion-effects assignment, and when I saw what I got, I knew it was going to be one of my submissions. This is my daughter Samantha Rose jumping up and down in her little pool in the backyard. The background was very busy, so I tried some gaussian blurring, and then used curved to intensify the colors. At two and a half, she's every inch a water baby, full energized any time she gets near water.
