Banksia Spinulosa Description: Just one of the members of the Banksia family. They are an Australian native flower. This particular family member is found on the east coast of Australia. This one (and many others) I came across on my walk the other day. They flower in the middle of winter. Banksias are named after the botanist Joseph Banks who sailed with Captain Cook on the Endeavour in 1770. Uploaded on 7/24/2009 12:03:48 AM
