Outstanding capture of this gorgeous scene Laura!! I really like your pov and the inclusion of the rocks in the foreground. Wonderful work! #7708709Laura E. Swan July 06, 2009
Thank you folks for your awesome comments! I really enjoyed them and had fun, too!Brolan, no need to apologize for sweet Tammy. That WAS big foot she saw there under the tree. She was the only one to mention him! I could sell this image to the TABLOIDS for BIG BUCKS, Maybe?! HA!
Where is SAWTOOTH Teresa? I'll have to look it up!
Powell River Nadya? I haven't been there yet.
Deb, I really love the Colorado Rockies too! Have a great trip!
No Hungry Bears on THIS walk Carol! HA! There are MANY bears in this area however. Wild Cats, too!
SSSKiki, it WAS soothing to the soul!
I know what you mean Brett. Truly! I never tire of it. EVER.
Tommy, I almost worried that I had too much of the rock there breaking the 2/3 1/3 rule a bit but I just really did like it better including them as I shot them. Thanks for backing up my feelings on it!
I have been to visit you all! Thank you so very much! #7708970

Lovely shot here Laura. Here's a PS tip to make it even better. 1. Select all. 2. Find the Transform in the menu wherever it is in your version, Adobe keeps moving things, choose Distort. 3.While using the shift key pull down the bottom left corner just a tad until the lakes shoreline is level it will make the picture stronger. 4. You may have to go to file / "save as" afterwards to get the apply / don't apply window to appear. On my Mac in my version of Elements I have to do this. On my older PC which has Photoshop 6 the window appears as soon as I click any tool in the tool bar. #7710120Laura E. Swan July 06, 2009
Super Robert. Thanks! I'll try it!!! Why not just crop? Because I'd lose some stones? #7710613Karen Kessler July 06, 2009
Lovely scenery, Laura! Your POV is perfect! The colors are gloriously rich! #7710663Robert S. Grauer July 06, 2009
Yep #7711228Robert S. Grauer July 06, 2009
On You Tube do a search on "you suck at photoshop" and a bunch of tutorial videos will magically appear. No charge for the info lol. #7711236Tiia Vissak July 06, 2009
a wonderful view! #7711317Laura E. Swan July 06, 2009
Oh, thanks a lot Robert. You picking a fight because that school teacher scolded you???!!! NOW you want me to admit right on UTUBE that I suck a photo shop???!!!Thanks a lot! Karen thinks my POV is PERFECT. Did you read what she wrote???!!!
P-E-R-F-E-C-T.
HA!
(Laughing here. Thanks for the advice. The good news is that if YOU knew about that part of UTUBE that means YOU TOO have been there to study things!)

I'm sure there is more than that on Photoshop in you tube and elsewhere on the web. I've found many tutorials for Final Cut Studio 2 on the web as well. Thats the video editing software suite I use to earn a living. Why waste money on books, once you have a basic knowledge of a program whatever you need to know can be found on the web without even a nominal charge. #7712576Laura E. Swan July 06, 2009
WOW! NO NOMINAL FEE? That's unheard of in the teaching profession, so I hear! #7712626Maria Zammit July 08, 2009
The rocks are perfect Laura! I feel present and it's wonderful to be there at one with nature!!! #7720226Laura E. Swan July 10, 2009
Thank you for your very ZEN comment Maria! MUCH APPRECIATED!!!-Laura #7723827
