Great capture Jeff. I like this a lot It's a well placed composition with the diagonal vapor trails. Where was this taken? If you have the time you might try another crop. Use the 8x10 format and crop so that the center trail is in the lower left corner. Then rotate the image left 90 degrees and then flip horizontally. This should result in a tighter composition that is a little more dramatic. Let me know what you think. #1138458

I really like the diagonal comp of this shot Jeff!! :) I was going to suggest something a little tighter to enhance the crop but I see Dale has already given you an idea....didn't think of rotating it as Dale suggested but I REALLY like the idea!!! :) #7608300Aimee C. Eisaman June 08, 2009
Great sky and a fantastic composition. I love all the detail in the 'birds' that you got. Really a wonderful shot! I can't think of anything to improve this, but I am very curious to see what Dales suggestions look like. What a perfect sky for this image.....just can't get over how blue it is! :~) #7608465Michael Kelly June 08, 2009
Great shot Jeff! Finally another Phello who shoots airplanes. I can't see much other than what Dale suggested for an improvement here. #7608820Rita K. Connell June 08, 2009
what a great shot, air shows are always fun to go. I do think a tighter comp will work better. Looking forward to seeing it. Nice job #7609381Jeff E Jensen June 08, 2009
Thanks everyone!I tried Dale's suggestions, and I like the results. #7610066

I like it too Jeff - Dale has a great eye for composition, I have never seen him miss. This is a very nice improvement of a good shot. #7610079Jodi M. Walsh June 08, 2009
very cool shot and I really like the new crop!i once got the autographs of all the Thunderbird pilots. it was my first attempt at getting autographs and I was very proud of them :-) #7610091

The new crop is nice, but I'm in favor of the original....just personal taste I suppose! :~) Kinda like all the negative space making the jets seems so small. #7610122Jeff E Jensen June 08, 2009
I've come back to this a couple of times and I'm having a hard time deciding which I like better. I think I am leaning towards the original. Here's another one from the same day. #7610318

Like them all, Jeff. But the second one is "over-the-top" stunning. Can't say anything more. All are keepers. I missed seeing the Thunderbirds when it was the USAFA graduation a week or so ago. Wanted to get them, too! Oh well, there is always next year. #7610341Debbra Bailey June 08, 2009
Awesome image Jeff! Love the color and the diagonal composition. Can't really help with the crop - I like them both! #7610355Michael Kelly June 08, 2009
I like them both also - why choose enter them both a few days apart. #7610427Jeff E Jensen June 08, 2009
Michael, I'm with you. I have entered the first version, I will enter the second in a few days. #7610457Jeanine M. Bailey June 09, 2009
Good luck with these Jeff! I like the way they all came out!!! :) #7611486Dianna Murphy June 09, 2009
