Kestrel Attack

Uploaded: May 24, 2009

Description

We have a Kestrel house attached to the second story of our house. This is the second year in a row they have occupied it and raised a family. This year they are very protective and have started to attack us if we are in the yard. Hard to get a good photo when ducking and hitting the ground, but here is my most successful attempt to date.

Liz and Thomas I thank you both for taking the time to comment. It means a lot that you enjoyed the photo enough to let me know. It is a scary thing to have a screaming hawk coming at you (even a small one), but the nice reception for the shot makes it worthwhile. #7555576

Wow this is really impressive! So much detail even though you were being attacked! This looks like a large hawk! Hard to believe that it is the size of a robin. Congrats on your EP! :~) #7609019
