Description

Candid picture of my 91 yr. old grandmother and my 5 month old son. This was my grandmother's first time meeting Micah, and is precious to me as we never know how many more photo opportunites they will be able to share. Taken with available window light in her nursing home; used b&w and sharpen features in PS.

My grandma passed away early this morning. I feel so blessed to have this picture now, as it was the last time that I saw her. She was happy and vibrant, and I'm so glad that I can remember her this way, and that she got to meet my newest son. She lived a life of simplicity and integrity - she was a wonderful person. I will truly miss her, but am comforted that she is with my grandpa now in heaven. I'll try to upload another photo taken that day, so you can enjoy her smile too. #1463967

Stacy, the emotion that pours for this is amazing. My children were lucky enough to know and remember 6 of their great grandparents before they passed away. This makes me cry and laugh at the same time. Perfect. #1678076
