Description

The building on the right is the 17th century Lugger Inn. A former landlord, Black Dunstan was hanged in 1890 for smuggling. That's what we Cornish were famous for- smuggling and piracy!

That's very kind of you Melissa. Thank you.
Cornwall is where I was born and raised; now live in Illinois, but am fortunate in being able to fly back there each year on vacation. The coast line is liberally dotted with dozens of tiny, ancient, fishing villages that are just so photogenic. It is over fifty years since I lived there permantly and although I hate some of the "improvements', by avoiding the more touristy towns I can drift back in time watching kids playing in the exact same rockpool as my siblings and I did on Charlestown beach in the '40s. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing as long as one also enjoys today! #7280886
