I was really attracted by the shadows from the windows - where each gives a strong set of diagonals, which then repeats - and this really leads you into the image. Initially I thought of having the painting on the wall as the point it led to, but this produced a constrained composition. Rather I went for including the door (and small window beyond) as the way out; and this also allowed me to include the secondary light pattern on the floor, and added interest to the bottom right of the shot. As with others it is a B&W conversion, but there are no strong colors in this shot.
