...Rusty Old Turbine.
---------
Another view of Stover-Myers Mill in Pipersville, PA. The mill was built by Jacob Stover in 1800, and it remained in the family for many generations. Eventually, the water wheel was replaced by steam engines, and the mill stayed competitive until the 1920's. The rusty turbine in the foreground is one of the two that remain on the property.
---------------
Intrepid photographer slipped and fell in the deep, slimy mud on Sunday, when the temperature had risen rapidly to melt the snow and ice that blanketed the area. She was a mess!
------------
This old mill BELONGS in the annals of the Living History of Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

A captivating image here, you have captured not only the detail of this old relic, but the bleakness of the day really adds to the mood. I think another good shot would have been the photographer in the mud, would have made a great action shot at least. LOL #7148524Eric S. Rundle February 10, 2009
