I'm Sorry!

Uploaded: February 12, 2005

Description

Little Abbey had taken a swipe at her sister moments before this tender moment. In an attempt to say "I'm sorry," she nestled into Karlie's arms... giving me one of the most loving images I have ever taken.

What a SWEET picture Judith! Did you alter it somehow? I love the coloring :-) #214702

I do apologize, Kelley. I meant to write the particulars in the description...

Natural window light was used and I edited it in Mystical Tint Tone and Color by adding what is called the antique filter. I cropped it a tad and used Gaussian blur on the background. That's it! Oh, and automatic settings on my camera. There was just no time to do it any other way. :o)

Thank you for asking, Kelley. :o)
Warm regards,

Thank you, Bill! You know I have taken many, many photos of my granddaughters...this one almost makes me cry! I hope others see, as I do, the tenderness, and love shared by two sisters, in this very special moment.

Hope all is well with you and yours, Bill.

Smiles!

Hey there Judy, so good to see you posting. I love the capture and your use of effects here. #1100236

Deb Brown February 12, 2005

Wonderful capture, Judy! I LOVE it. Having two children of my own, I know that there's the "contrived" sorry (the one that Mommy makes you say), and then there's the "genuine" sorry. This is definitely genuine....to be treasured forever! #1100351

That is a beautiful picture. The story behind it is touching, too! I was wondering, how did you add the blur to just the background? im new at photoshop! #1101673

Dear Alicia,

I know how confusing Photoshop can be, especially when you are first learning to use it. If you send me an email, I will explain how I did it for you with screen shots. I always thought it much easier to learn by seeing than just through words.

You can reach me at slvr@netsync.net

Warm regards,

Alicia,

All I did was choose the lasso tool to outline the background. I then clicked on filter and blur...chose Gaussian blur and adjusted it to the degree I wanted.

If you need more details, please don't hesitate to email me.

Warm regards,
