MT10-08 Autumn Duckedelic
Uploaded: October 21, 2008
The reflection of the colors of the Autumn trees on Lake Carmel, NY gives this pretty duck a psychedelic float. The image was slightly cropped, saturated and sharpened with Picasa2, but no effects were applied.

Thank you Lynn, Dominick, Lisa, Rolan, Jessica, Dawn and Shelly. I was happily surprised this shot captured the colors so well. #6636356Nikki McDonald October 22, 2008
This has to be one of my all time favorite fall shots, Karen -- I love that you have just the reflections as a background for the duck silhouette. Great job here -- you are going to have trouble picking just 3 for the FFFP theme! Lots of great autumn images in your gallery. #6636587Susan Gallagher October 22, 2008
This is really nice - unusual and eye-catching shot! #6638802Karen Celella October 24, 2008
Thanks Nikki and Susan. My son titled it and made me laugh. #6651295Leland N. Saunders October 30, 2008
I really love this shot ... Great abstract, except for the duck ... does that make it an "almost abstract?" #6683114Joannie Bertucci October 30, 2008
Karen, this is groovy! Love the strong autumn colors in their richness and the duck helps anchor the floating mirage!Karen Celella November 01, 2008
Thank you Leland and Joannie. I don't know if it's an abstract or even an almost abstract Leland. All I know is that it's a real duck on a real lake with a real reflection! LOL #6692662Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
