The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens
Created by New York Central Park designer Frederick Law Olmsted, and built in the 1890's,
this tri-domed Victorian glass conservatory features exotic flowers and plants from around the world.
These gardens are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

G'day Lisa,

I spotted this beauty in the FFFP gallery.

This has been so well exposed in that late afternoon light.

The combination of aperture and point of focus has created an all encompassing depth of field and an image displaying clear, readily discernible detail even in the gloomiest area.

The composition is very strong with diverging lines as lead-ins and is well balanced.

Contrast and highlights have been very well controlled and the colours are wonderfully natural.

Well seen, well conceived, well photographed and well presented.

Ann, this was taken around 8pm, hours after the Botanical Gardens closed its doors. But there was no one to stop me from capturing its exterior during this lovely sunset.
I was glad to have a fellow photographer friend with me, though. I don't like to shoot alone in such places at night.
